Generation Why, in many ways, is different from baby boomers and all other generations of the past. These individuals have left the ‘greatest generation,’ commonly known as the World War II generation, far behind. An evolved mindset and tech-savviness with a strong determination to make a difference in the world has made the ‘wise of the world’ refer to this generation as the ‘greatest generation.’
The past generations were focused on following a straight path and were more about abiding by the rules. Generation Why, on the other hand, is all about finding their own path towards success. These young minds are capable of not only dreaming but also of turning them into a reality. Ready to move in the opposite direction, these individuals are not the ones who give up on their dreams and passions. Every individual from this generation has a unique story to tell and a new lesson to teach the world.
Bringing to this world another success story is a young Italian boy who grew up in Verona, home to Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet,” with dreams to become a great actor. Now 22 years old, this boy believes in fulfilling dreams in life, that for all is too short. He spreads a message of living a life that is driven by passion and to keep up the hustle until one reach to their ultimate destination.
This is the story of Alberto Fabbretti, a dreamer, a passionate individual, and a young soul with major life goals. Just like all others from Generation Z, his story of ‘chasing his dream’ is worth sharing. Alberto left his hometown, his loving family, and his comfort to turn his dream into a reality; this is Alberto Fabbretti’s Story of Passion.
Stepping Out of the Comfort Zone
Born in a city famous as the setting of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” on November 28, 1998, Alberto was always fond of acting. He admired the art of performing in front of an audience. After acquiring a diploma in Applied Sciences from Liceo Cotta, a high school in Legnago, Alberto was sure that science was not something he wished to pursue in the future. He wanted to achieve greatness, and this was not the field where his passions lied; it was acting.
He joined the Teatro Stabile di Verona, a theatre in Verona, Italy. It was the place where he got his initial training. He worked on his acting skills and then moved to Rome to strengthen his portfolio. He enrolled in the Radio and Television Academy in Rome. It helped him groom his skills and further his understanding. It was his time here that he learned ‘how to be an actor.’
Building a Strong Portfolio
“I left for New York without great expectations, but with a specific dream: to become an actor.”
Alberto stepped into New York with a dream to make it big in the entertainment sector as an actor. Following in the footsteps of some of the most successful actors such as Zach Efron, Nicole Kidman, Juliette Binoche, and Tom Cruise, the aspiring actor joined Susan Baston Studio. He spends a major portion of his time studying the industry, the roles, and the characteristics that are needed to be a successful actor.
Success does not come overnight, and it takes small steps to reach the ultimate destination. The fact that he realized what most struggling actors don’t, Alberto expanded the horizon of his skills. He has appeared as an actor in three video musicals by the American rapper BKnott, including Captain Cap. Alberto was also part of the music video of “Addicted” by Director Project Reese.
In addition to this, he has been cast in several movies. In 2019, he appeared in John Reitzel’s “Dream No. 37091” in May. In the same month, he was cast in Robert Walker’s “Sketchy Tales of the Black Doodler.” Five months later, the aspiring actor was featured in Allan Hayhurt’s “SMASH,” followed by appearances in “Mise-En-Scene,” “Enemy of Reality,” “Anything for You,” and “DATING.” His portfolio also includes his role in the Pilot episode of Brooklyn Vans.
Even 2020 is a busy year for the young actor. While being cast as a lead in two films, including “Daytime Dreams” and “Without Escape,” he has also released a short film on March 4, “36 Hours in New York.” Alberto is the writer and director of the 12-minute film but is also the lead actor. While talking about his short-film, Alberto said, “The story stars two young girls, Alexis and Julia, two adults’ friends, ex-criminals who, as soon as they come out of prison, find themselves facing the difficulties of the life outside the bars.”
The brainchild of Alberto himself, this film has been sent to more than one hundred festivals across the US and Europe. It is also the part of an Official Selection at NewFilmmakers NY, Chelsea Film Festival in New York, at Direct Monthly Online Film Festival, and Lift-Off Global Sessions in the United States. The film is a finalist at the Prague International Monthly Film Festival in the Czech Republic and the Kosice International Monthly Film Festival in Slovakia.
A Look at the Present
Alberto Fabbretti, with his elite acting skills, is on his way to the top of the acting industry. Currently, the young actor is working on his project, “Stellan,” a show based on the youth of the Swedish actor, Stellan Skarsgard. His debut as a solo performer is scheduled for 2021. The show is planned to be feaured at the Susan Batson Studio between May and June 2021. While working on this show with Susan Batson and Carl Ford, he stated, “Each time I presented the scene in front of Susan Batson and Carl Ford, they would enlist the ways I could improve it. Each scene took at least three months to complete, and at the moment it is finished, the next scene is written.”
The young, passionate, and dedicated actor, started from the lands of Italy, where some of the most prominent theatres were set, Alberto is on his way to success. The year has brought major opportunities his way, and he is serving as an example for the world. The 22-year-old is working towards achieving his dream and is halfway there. Alberto traveled thousands of miles away from his hometown and family for the sake of his “American” dream. This is how determined, passionate, and dedicated the individuals of Generation Z who do not rest until they reach their destination.
