Christien Bouc is the founder of Bouc Media, a silicon valley based digital marketing agency that helps influencers, brands, and agencies grow on instagram. Christien and his team have helped thousands of influencers grow their following, boost their engagement, and widen their digital footprint online. Annually the agency is grossing close to a quarter million dollars a year between its service sales and cryptocurrency holdings which increase parallel with the company’s holdings over time. Christien is also the owner of an extremely successful Instagram Marketing Secrets group on Facebook that has 20K members to date.
With tremendous success in the social media marketing space, and the economy in a rather turbulent and uncertain state, it’s important to make strategic moves to insure future success of the business & personal brand. Christien is also strategizing and is always working towards the next best thing to improve and streamline processes to limit the need for actual hands on work, namely through SAAS & many other ventures he plans on launching soon.
How did your career begin? What sets you apart from your competition?
It’s interesting that almost every entrepreneur begins their career in sales and business long before they ever form their agencies in seemingly innocent ways during childhood that inevitably leads to their success down that line. Christien says, “My career with earning online income dates back to when I was about 12 years old. My middle school friend and I would play MMORPG games like RuneScape and MapleStory. While some spent money to acquire digital items, we found value in turning items in the game into profits in real life. I participated in many make money online ventures following this including purchasing scrapped Microsoft Office keys and reselling them for a higher price. In my mind, these experiences sparked my journey online but I did not officially begin my business Bouc Media until I saw a Tai Lopez ad in 2016 promoting the business plan.” Long before Christien ever had an agency, he was selling digital services in the games he played with friends helping learn the valuable fundamental tools it took to build any concept from the ground up from there.
What Type Of Client Do You Work With & Why?
Client niche is commonly a practice of agency owners, they usually tend to specialize on a particular type of client that they feel as though works best with their skillset / mentality and style. Christien’s philosophy is merely based on a consumer need for quality services and a system they can trust. Christien says, “I mainly work with 2 types of clients: B2B and B2C. My B2B customers are often much different than my B2C customers. The clients who provide Bouc Media the most volume are marketing agencies who resell our ‘done for you growth services’. Aside from agencies, we work with many different clients from verified models to event planning companies in Dubai, to even one of the largest Hemp/CBD companies in the United States.
2 Types Of Clients We Work With
- Clients who want fast social proof and to grow thousands of followers a day
- Clients who want targeted followers that engage, and who you can advertise products to
“We help both types of clients, but the strategy we use varies depending on what the clients overall goals are, budget and type of content on the page.” Christien says.
What Makes You & Bouc Media Different From Other Agencies?
Scaling to $10K or more is one thing, scaling beyond that and replicating this mechanism turning it into a repeatable concept is another. Christien attributes a lot of success to his emphasis on giving each and every one of his clients concierge care and service. Christien says, “My clients come to me because they trust me, when I make a promise or guarantee it has weight. Client satisfaction is the MOST important aspect of my business, and because I value the relationship more than the sale. Clients generally come back and keep purchasing growth services from me because of my transparency and trust we have developed.” Without trust, it’s impossible to successfully grow a business to this level and maintain it for the long term.
Was It Easy? Easier said than done.
It’s easy to observe the iceberg effect across Instagram, people flexing lavish lifestyles and an expansive portfolio of cryptocurrencies, but rarely do you know the true backstory behind their success. All the sleepless nights not knowing whether or not you’d make it or not. All the people that told them to just “…get a real job.” Christien explains, “It wasn’t easy building my career to what it is today. It took a lot of sacrifice and when I began I had no money and even needed to work multiple part-time jobs on the side to have cash flow for living expenses. Even today, I make many sacrifices that most employees would never make mainly because I want to scale my business even further. While it was not easy, it is 100% worth it and even though I make sacrifices the freedom from being my own boss, the self accountability, the ability to grow while running my marketing agency Bouc Media is something I would not trade for a high salaried job anywhere in the world.”
Do you believe 2020 has changed the trajectory of your business moving forward?
After COVID-19 business and life as we know it for millions of people around the world was never quite the same again. Especially in the ways in which we do business. Christien sees big things moving forward and explains how it will all play out in the future “2020 has been a big year for Bouc Media with many blessings as well as hurdles. With covid pushing sales online, there could never be a better time to transition online and marketing budgets have followed, after the initial scare of course. Starting 2021, I am more motivated than ever to scale my business to 7 figures and hit new heights.”
