1. How did you get into the world of crypto? What motivated you?
I have lived in Bali for about 1 year now. My old friend called me. He asked how things were going, how to get to Bali, how I live abroad in general, why I have been there for a whole year and so on. Well, he just found out, because he also wanted to come to Bali and asked how to implement it all, how to do it in right way. During the conversation, it turned out that he is engaged in crypto, and he is a trader. I became interested. I asked him where I could read more about it. I began to search for information on the Internet on my own. I came across a book called “How to DeFi”. By the way, you can download it on CoinGecko. I read it. And then every day I started by learning something new on this topic. Then I got into IDO, figured out what it is. The first launchpad platform I participated in IDO was Polkastarter. The first big money that I earned in one month of participation in IDO (it was 1 tranche) was a crazy amount, and then I realized that this is very cool – from $ 250 of the redeemed allocation I made $ 13,000 in just 10 minutes. I realized that: WOW! It’s excitement, it’s interesting, I can. Well, after that, I started creating my own YouTube channel and teaching others how to do it.
2. All crypto investors started somewhere. Tell us about your first official (or not official) job. Perhaps it was still work during the student days.
During my student days, I worked as a model but on legal schemes (I clarify that everything was official and clear, since modeling is associated with debauchery for everyone). I made money at exhibitions and official events where beautiful girls were needed who would meet guests in beautiful dresses. I worked as a hostess there. At that time, they paid very well: about $ 100 for a couple of few hours of work, and for us students it was just a lot of money. Well, in addition to this, in college, before the university, I worked as a waitress. It was in the summertime so that during college holidays you can earn money for clothes and not beg your parents. I also broke through movie tickets. It was a cinema Ukraine in the center of Kyiv. So, on the third or fifth day of work, Max Barskikh came to see a film with Badoev and my hands were shaking to break through these tickets because they were such big celebrities thet the stadiums were collected. So that was good experience.
3. Where did you get the money for the first investments?
I had money for my first investments from my previous business (Crema coffe franchise). I have always understood what money is. When I came to crypto, I already had common sense and the concept of what money is, the value of money, how difficult it is to actually earn it, and what diversification is. I realized that you can’t put all your eggs in one basket. I keep part of my money in foreign currency, part of the money in real estate, part in movable property, part in the stock market before cryptocurrency (in that time the stock market gave good results), and part in cryptocurrency when I met it. Also I kept investments even in banks, they even lay on deposits. That is, in fact, I have always diversified funds, because any of the listed methods can close.
4. Why did you start studying and investing in IDO?
Initially, I did not invest much in all cryptocurrencies, including IDO. I bought and sold coins and tokens, speculated on the spot. No futures. I never recommend futures to anyone because I see millions of unsuccessful stories when people lost money. Better to do it all on the spot. You can make enough money just using spot, stop loss and so on. Let’s return to IDO. Then there were the dawns of the IDO hype, everyone slowly started to learn about it, wrote in various public telegrams, Polkastarter began to promote itself through everyone who went to IDO, since marketing, tweets, retweets and so on had to be done there. That’s how I found out about the first Polkastarter platform, looked at how everything works there, and then I bought the first POLS. In fact, in order to participate in IDO, you need to invest in the purchase of tokens. But again, you need to understand the risks, since you can buy platform IDO tokens, which will fall in price and you will have a drawdown of at least 2-3 x down. Therefore, you need to understand that you need to buy tokens not on a hype, but when there is a slight correction.
5. Tell about a turning point, a fateful moment, if there was one in your life.
War in Ukraine. The biggest turning point. When you lose your home, when you lose everything… business, real estate, car… I have everything left in Ukraine, and the cost of all this is essentially zero. And yet, thank God, I have not lost relatives. All live, healthy. Although from day to day, who knows what will happen.
6. Your biggest failure. What mistakes happened when investing in crypto?
There are a lot of mistakes in the crypto! In fact, in crypto you always make mistakes – that’s the point: you pay for experience. Another question: what is the price of your mistake? I used to get caught by scammers as well. How to understand how to protect yourself from them if at least once you do not burn out in this? Sometimes, I didn’t fix the profit on time, I thought that the token would grow and, as a result, it fell down. Sometimes, I simply did not have time to keep track of my portfolio, did not rebalance a portfolio that was for the long term, although it was possible to transfer one asset to another and multiply my capital. I just physically couldn’t do it. The biggest failure was when I did not have time to fix my profit in IDO. From an allocation of about 250 or 500 dollars (I don’t remember exactly, it was 1 year ago), the allocation grew by $16,000 and I thought that it would grow a little more. I went sleep. And in the morning it all rolled into the trash. It is clear that you are waiting for it to correct or grow back, but it has been going downhill for a whole month. I call it a big lost opportunity. Something like this.
7. What areas of the crypto world do you consider to be promising now in your experience?
In fact, everything is always changing. In crypto you can earn on hype. You need to follow the hype and news, watch the actions of others, what publications appear in the news and telegrams. Because the crypto is always alive, 24/7. People are sleeping – but the crypt is not. For example, someone creates blockchains (someone has a day, for example in America) while you sleep and so on. And when you wake up, something new may appear on the market, or someone has scammed someone, a new project has been created, Terra Luna has flown under the table and so on. Everything is changing very quickly. That is, if you want to make money in the crypt, you need to follow the trends and news otherwise you won’t be able to. If you devote very little time to this, then unfortunately you will not be able to earn much on this. You can’t make it a monthly income. Yes, you can buy a portfolio for the long term and wait for it to grow. It will be a good investment, capital increase, capital preservation, but this is not the monthly income that can be made on hype. At the moment, these are move2earn projects, the beginning of learn2earn, and before that we had play2earn. This is the GameFi sector, that is, everything that is constantly on the game mechanics. This is all changing rapidly. You need to watch the projects that come because, for example, move2earn creates a lot of copies of projects without a fundamental, without funds that do not grow. It is necessary to analyze the project 10 times before depositing money somewhere. How to analyze projects, I always have instructions on my YouTube channel. Well, in principle, on my YouTube channel you can find all the useful information to understand how to distinguish a good project.
8. Elon Musk loves dogecoin despite the absence of a fundamental behind this coin and applauds it in every possible way. Do you have your favorite coin or token or project?
Yes, of course there is. These are bitcoin and ethereum. Bitcoin has a limited supply. I mean, it will only go up. Plus, bitcoin is constantly lost, keys are forgotten, wallets are lost, and so on. The value of bitcoin is that it is limited, there will be no more than 21 million of it. The more it is mined, the more expensive it will become over time. Also Ethereum. Since these are smart contracts and in general this is a super revolution that allowed creating projects on the ethereum, fork and so on. And of course, Dot, since I am a Polkadot Ambassador. I believe that this ecosystem is very promising, although many no longer believe in it. However, Polkadot parachains are something new, not like ethereum, not like a standard blockchain, not like bitcoin, so I believe that Dot will also show itself over the next 2-3 years.
9. Do you think it is still possible to make money on cryptocurrencies?
You can always make money on a crypt, the main thing is to look for opportunities. For example, people cry that it’s a bear market. But this is not a reason to lose, this is a reason to earn. And if, for example, you did not find the moment to sell, yes, of course, this is a difficult period. There is a concept called OG these people, they survived the 2017 bear market. It is believed that there are very few of them, since it is very difficult to psychologically withstand your portfolio declining in value as a year, and basically people sold everything at a certain stage and were disappointed in the crypt. Those who endured, did not sell anything, waited for growth in 2019-2020, they got very rich because bitcoin, ethereum and other coins grew very much. Therefore, now is also such a moment, now there is a bear market, it will still be there for the whole summer and bitcoin will fall all the time and people will be disappointed and sell. But, this is an opportunity to buy, not sell. Average your positions if you have not had time to sell. Or if there is no budget to average positions, and you bought a bitcoin at $35,000 and now it is at $29,000, then just close your portfolio and don’t look at it for half a year. Don’t look at crypto charts, just forget for this money just not to lose. Because in half a year, in a year, anyway, the cryptocurrency will grow and grow stronger than it was before. Bitcoin will be more than $65,000. And then you can fix it. Again. Buying in a bear market is a must. But not at the highest price. Now, for example, it is too early to buy bitcoin and ethereum. They should be bought when they move closer to $20,000. And then, a ladder to buy and sell to be able to average the position. Using the ladder method, we always achieve the best price. Well, follow the trends, follow the hype to know where you can make money.
10. What are your advices for crypto beginners? What is the best place to start? And how much time can it take on average for the chosen direction until the moment when a beginner starts earning? Based on your experience in this area.
The biggest piece of advice is to learn. Do not try to believe everyone in a row, follow advice, repeat after someone, bring it in thoughtlessly, only on hype. Before entering – study, study, study. For example, I have millions of tutorial videos on my YouTube channel. But they have low view stats. As soon as I shoot a review of any project, there are 5-10 times more views. I explain why. People are only interested in where to raise money, where to make money. But they do not want to turn on their brains and think for themselves which project to include. They just want someone to lead somewhere. I’ve always said that people love pyramids. They adore them, because there is no need to think, everyone is carrying them there, everyone is running there, and they are also running there. In fact, this is a herd of sheeps that need to be brought somewhere. It feels like people want to be scammed. Therefore, once again I will repeat what needs to be done to earn money for beginners. Study! Don’t be lazy! Read literature about crypto, read books, read news reports. Read How to NFT and How to DeFi books to get started. This is generally the basics, in these books there is a lot of useful information. And watch tutorial videos. Necessarily! See what security is in crypto. Be sure to think about and secure your assets before you start depositing in crypto. Think about diversification. Understand how to import a metamask. Learn how to cancel approvals. How to disable sites from metamask. How not to get caught by scams and phishing. What is Gnosis safe and how to use it. View TOP15 beginner mistakes. I can endlessly continue to study, study and study again and analyze projects before depositing money.
11. Where do you think bitcoin is heading? To the moon or from the moon?
Unfortunately from the moon. I think that we will reach $20,000 for 1 bitcoin and at this level I will start buying. There is such a very brutal expression “Arrange buckets.” This means setting purchase limits. If the price goes even lower, then average. But still buy, buy and buy again. Then keep at least half a year until the moment when it all grows 3 or even 4 times.
