The world of YouTube just got a whole lot more exciting with the announcement that South African filmmaker, Dan Mace, has been signed on as the Chief Creative Officer for the Beast Philanthropy Channel. With a background that includes multiple awards for his film directing and YouTubing, Dan is a force to be reckoned with in the industry. And now, he’s joining forces with the World’s Most Followed Person on YouTube, Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, to bring a new level of creativity and quality to the philanthropy channel.
For those who may not be familiar, MrBeast has made a name for himself by combining elaborate stunts, huge giveaways, and humor to captivate an audience of over 129 million subscribers on his main channel alone. However, he’s also using his massive platform for good through his Beast Philanthropy channel, which is dedicated to alleviating hunger, homelessness, and unemployment around the world. The channel is able to generate funds through the collective social media outreach of all of the Beast channels and 100% of their advertising revenue, brand deals, and merchandise sales go directly to the charity.
Dan Mace first caught the attention of the Beast Philanthropy team when they approached his creative agency, JOE, to help produce one of their videos in South Africa. The project was a huge success and it was clear that Dan was a perfect fit for the role of Chief Creative Officer. With a passion for using his unique style of storytelling to inspire positive change through the YouTube platform, Dan was eager to accept the offer from MrBeast.
With his high-class directing style and Casey Neistat-inspired techniques, Dan is ready to take the Beast Philanthropy videos to the next level. And after meeting with Jimmy Donaldson in Greenville, North Carolina, Dan has officially taken the reins as the creative leader of the philanthropy channel. We can’t wait to see what he brings to the table!
