Palestine based DJ and electronic music producer Sama Abdulhadi, famous as Sama, returned to London this summer. This was her second return in London after her sell-out show held in June at Shubbak Festival. This festival is the largest contemporary Arab culture festival in Europe. Sama was applauded for bringing techno to Palestine and played the British capital on 16th August. She showcased some of the best DJs that the Middle East is popular for offering.
Where DJs get their start, Sama has also given some exceptional performance there. Sama’s fans remembered her storming Boiler Room debut in 2018 during her London return. Her debut in 2018 got three million views on YouTube and it was the first time the online music platform was broadcasted from Palestine. Sama has also brought her three favorite DJs from the region, Lebanese stars Jason Kaakoush and Rise 1969, as well as Tehran-born techno aficionado Anahita Shamsaei.
She jumped into the world of DJ music in 2006, when she started mixing at parties in Ramallah. She kept on producing for few years and then started a musical career which is now popular due to her performances at night clubs and festivals across the globe. A few years ago, she started stimulating the techno parties in the West Bank and London had witnessed the same vibrant electronic music scene.
Sama is now based in Paris and will travel the English Channel once again to witness a night of techno, house, and other deeper sub-genres. London based production company MARSM will organize and feature the best international electronic music scene.
