What does your company do?
M Cailloux offers etiquette classes worldwide, pairing our courses with ergonomic cutlery that comfortably and intuitively assists dining etiquette. I find it staggering that for hundreds of years, there has been very little innovation in cutlery. With that in mind, we created a unique design that naturally places a child’s hands in the right holding position on each piece of cutlery. We’ve now added a range for adults, providing the whole family with an amazing dining
experience.
How do manners give children more opportunities in life? Etiquette and good manners certainly equip children for brighter futures. They will grow up respecting others, knowing what is expected of them, and feeling comfortable in any given social situation. Because they treat others well, they’ll be respected by their peers and those in positions of authority, such as educators or, down the line, future employers. Children who don’t have this foundation may struggle in social situations, feeling uncomfortable and afraid of engaging with adults. That makes it much more challenging to improve their social skills over time.
What exciting projects are on the horizon for you/your business?
The pandemic has completely redefined the work/home environment.
Children are spending more time at home interacting with their peers and teachers online, which is completely foreign terrain for many parents. I feel there’s a unique opportunity here to help parents navigate this, and we’re looking for different ways of approaching etiquette and good manners in this new reality.
