People are inclined to think that playing games is a waste of time and resources. Well, some others believe it is a form of recreation. While some love it as a passion and as a source of income.
Jerome Gillan is a twenty-six-year-old gamer from Columbus, Ohio. His career started with Twitch back in early 2019. But back then, he never took gaming as a career until late 2019. Initially, he played games for fun. Then, he thought to himself, why play games for fun when you can make a career out of it? That is the kind of mentality few people have, and Gillan is one of those people. He started streaming with one purpose, and one purpose only, to meet new people. His first game was DS3. He had great fun playing this particular game and he has built a reputation of no-hit runs, so much so that he is now being nicknamed “NOHIT JEROME.” Always having the zeal to pull people along with him, he included a few friends to join him in the Dark Soul’s community.
Because gamers love to be competitive and show that they are the best, Jerome turned it into a contest. This showed that he not only loved games; he was also a good entrepreneur, making a living out of doing what he loved so much.
This first contest was a Dark Souls 3 challenge run event. It was mostly made up of friends, though, but that was the beginning of something big. Being his first, it was still able to generate an entertaining, attractive, and different type of content for people in the gaming niche. Building on that success, Jerome was able to organize more, and they included a Bloodborne All Boss, WoW classic 24-hour race, DS3 All Boss, and DS3 All Boss + DLC with a gamer guide to match.
The WoW Classic 24-hour race was by far the largest and got him the wide recognition he now enjoys. Being such a huge success, he now attracted the attention of top Twitch streamers like SquillaKilla, Catalystz, GinoMachino, Ahady, Otzdarva, FaraazKhan, and Kwitty23.
Fun fact: Did you know that Jerome Gillan is only the third person to achieve a No Damage run in Sekiro since its inception?
That was one of the proudest moments of his career. He always believed in himself, kept practicing for hours, and with this level of dedication and the talents he already had, there was no stopping him. He also keeps challenging himself by doing more “No-hit runs of souls-like games.” He even admitted to being a different man after the game. There is this feeling that comes with accomplishment, and he was full of it.
Another proud moment of his career was when he was invited by one of the top Twitch streamers, SquillaKilla, to the Hitless team. This was after he had completed Dark Souls 3 without taking any enemy hits. He was also able to organize a big tournament that consisted of more than twenty-five prominent community streamers with a valid gamer guide, and he was even financially able to give out cash prizes to the tune of ten grand.
Jerome Gillan is truly a gamer like no other.
