The Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies has estimated that the COVID’s R number is now between 0.7 and 1.1 in the UK. This number suggests that for every 10 people infected by the virus, around seven to eleven will get infected.
Many statisticians have also reported that the rate of people being admitted to hospital is on a downhill. The hospitals have admitted patients at a rate of 33.51 per 100,000 people.

Moreover, the UK government is also considering another vaccine named as Novavax. The UK medicines regulator is currently assessing this vaccine for its use. Interestingly, many experts have considered this vaccine to be around 89% effective in preventing the coronavirus.
