The developer Double Fine has revealed the release date of their action-adventure game “Knights and Bikes”. Foam Sword, who were the composers of former Media Molecule developers, have made it public that their hand-painted adventure game will be getting launched on PC and PlayStation 4 on August 27th.
It was announced by the developer on Twitter that Knights and Bikes has gone gold. By this they mean the game has got the green signal to be out in the market. Knights And Bikes is a new adventure game from Double Fine, and it has passed all the required forms of certification. The game is now officially ready for printing and distribution. A funny GIF revealing the game’s release date was shared along with the announcement by Foam Sword.
In February 2016, Knights and Bikes was started as a kickstarter project. Almost more than £100,000 GBP ($121,000 USD) was garnered. Later within a few weeks only, the development went off the ground. The announcement of this official release date comes almost more than two years after Knights and Bikes’ expected April 2017 release window.
The game is about controlling two friends who venture on a British island in the 1980s. They are on the island in search for exciting and dangerous treasure. The game ‘Knights and Bikes’ is seemed to be inspired from the “Secret of Mana-esque” story where the friend’s bikes are upgradeable.
Foam Sword claims that this game “Knights and Bikes” was developed with co-op in mind. However, one can still play it as a single player thanks to some clever AI. One can also play it single hand by switching between the characters with the shoulder-buttons on the controller.
