There has been recent news of Port Harcourt based artist Prince Emeka Achor fondly known by his stage name Prince Spido, claiming to be an American citizen. Further News has it that in light of recent events, Prince Spido has been unusually mute regarding the matter and has turned down interviews. Lots of people have hit him up with hateful tweets and comments on IG.
Finally Prince Spido talks about trending gossip “I know a lot of dust has been raised as a result of my bio update. Most of the country folk been talking about my American citizenship, I’ve been getting anonymous calls and that’s no fun at all. I was born in Port Harcourt and raised in the United States. My love for music began in my younger days in Church. I moved towards Afro-fusion after being inspired by musicians I grew up listening to such as King Sunny Ade and D’banj. I’m Prince Spido and that’s the personality that I care about. Some people say I don’t even have connections in Nigeria, talk more of the U.S. Some ideologies are laughable, I swear. A great deal of Nigerian people show or possess exotic propensities and that’s not cool. Asking why I turned down interviews?? Well that’s prolly cause interviews of this sort are toxic to me. Thanks my fans, thanks everyone. Good day”.
Mouths have gone shut, tongues have stopped wagging. There’s shock in the air as videos of Prince Spido going live with designer and lil twist hit the air.
