Khalil Halilu is adopting various techniques in Nigeria with the help of technological advancements to create awareness and make a change. As a young child, the techpreneur was aware of the numerous discrepancies in his hometown of Kano. Khalil provided alternatives for small business owners in Kano who were struggling with frequent electricity outages by selling ice blocks.
The entrepreneurial streak within Khalil grew, and since then, he has provided plausible solutions to Nigeria’s rising issues. From partaking in TEDx talks to founding the KSH Foundation, his accomplishments speak for themselves, and his unique strength in having a diverse network has led him to look beyond the surface.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in International Business, Khalil took over various projects. One such project was when Khalil, alongside his friends, opened a gaming center within three days. It became the talk of the town, and in a matter of days, KSH had acquired enough profit to host an African-themed party. This highlights his entrepreneurial prowess and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Joining the family business after graduation forever changed Khalil’s view and perspective on technology. He joined the family businesses as a Marketing Manager at the Gongoni Company Limited, specializing in aerosol manufacture, while its sister company, Scirocco International Limited, is trusted with tea and cold beverage manufacturers. Khalil manages projects and performs his duties splendidly and has been doing so since he was 23.
Where achievements drive humans toward further success in their ventures, one’s failures propel them to do better than ever before. The same is true for Khalil when he could not enroll in a JAVA and DBA course. Though it felt like a huge step backward, it was through this experience that the techpreneur stumbled upon sustainable technology.
From then on, Khalil began to interact with the people of Nigeria and introduced wondrous technological companies; ShapShap and The CANS. The former provides delivery services in Lagos and Abuja, with the latter being an eco-friendly technical forum that encourages people to share ideas and is home to many start-ups in West Africa.
Other than investing his time in leading various startups, Khalil is an authority figure in the tech realm due to his knowledge. He has assisted and led many companies wishing to enter the African market. Assisting other investors, KSH is also a huge polo fanatic, taking part in various tournaments and polishing his game.
KSH is a man who has made significant progress in a short time span, becoming an inspirational figure; Khalil continues to pave the way for future generations in Nigeria, creating opportunities
