Tony Levy sponsors the Leading University for Design in Israel – Shenkar

Multimillionaire Israeli businessman, Tony Levy, gives back to society with a scholarship program for students of Shenkar

Tony Levy has decided to extend his philanthropic work to the students of one of the leading universities in Israel. Tony Levy is contributing to a scholarship where the top 20 students are selected and challenged to create jewelry from raw materials they have never used. The aim of the program is to see the student’s natural instinct for design, helping to bring out their creativity and ingenuity, with the winner sent to Japan to meet and work with Tony’s best designers.

Tony Levy has carved a niche for himself as an intuitive business owner and entrepreneur with an eye for spotting potentials. Over a period of twenty years, Tony has dedicated his life to building businesses, overcoming several obstacles that would ordinarily have deterred other entrepreneurs from achieving their goals. Described as the Cinderella Israeli businessman in Japan, Tony started off by selling jewelry before owning a shop and growing it to becoming a business and eventually becoming a part of Laline, one of the most desired brands in Japan.

Unlike many other entrepreneurs that have made fortunes in their businesses, without looking back to help others, Tony has always been a man of the people. One of his recent contributions to the development of others is the scholarship program he is sponsoring to help creative students of the Shenkar University to live their dreams.

The top 20 students of the university will be challenged and put to test by pricking their minds and creativity to work with materials that they are not familiar with and come up with beautiful jewelry. The program is particularly amazing as it is a win-win situation for all participants. While every participant gains from developing their creativity during the contest, the winner gets to learn from the best hands in the industry as he or she gets to work with Tony’s best designers in Japan.

The scholarship program is somewhat unprecedented in Israel and will go a long way in encouraging other young creative minds in the university and other institutions in the country to develop themselves as they look to benefit from such opportunities in the future. It will also serve as a motivation for other well-meaning individuals and successful entrepreneurs to look back and give back.
