Trevor Crump Shares Share His Secret for Client Longevity and Great Marketing

To say that digital marketing is essential to a company is an understatement. Nowadays, anyone who is on social media is already a digital marketer. This reality means organizations and individuals need to learn to get more people to see their brands. Marketing is all about getting seen in the right places, at the right time, with the right message. Trevor Crump is the best man to help companies and people understand how to do that better.

As for The Lab, it is an agency that hates how agencies work. So the Lab team flips the script by becoming a part of the brand’s marketing team. Trevor and his team want to know what their clients are doing and how that will impact their company. “We want them to have 100% visibility into everything we do so they know how to support us. It adds a lot more work and value to our company and a lot more accountability. We have to get real with the mistakes we make and the brands’ mistakes,” says the company’s CEO Trevor Crump.

Trevor Crump has been in the marketing space for almost ten years. He started an ecommerce business with Asher Golf in 2016. Trevor fell in love with ecommerce and entrepreneurship, and they scaled the business to 6 figures in less than a year. Now the company is a multi-million dollar business. In 2018 he joined another ecommerce team as their CMO called Fawn Design. As the company role and responsibilities got more prominent, he stepped away from Asher and became a silent partner, built up the Fawn Design marketing team, and grew new acquisitions by over 35%. 

“I started consulting ecommerce businesses in 2020, and we launched Labwork Media, a full-fledged ecommerce marketing agency,” says the founder of Labwork Media. “In the first eighteen months, we turned our business into a seven-figure business. We set out to build a marketing agency that works with brands rather than for them. Most agencies run ads or campaigns for brands. We do that, but we take it a step further. We understand how everything a brand does impacts its marketing.”

The company has evolved into offering an ecommerce brand to a complete branding and marketing experience. They offer digital strategy, ad execution, content creation, and video production for ads. They are building upon that to the point where they will have a full branding service and full analytics software that will help businesses make better decisions.

“What I have realized is there is a lot of repeatability in the ecommerce space. Don’t get me wrong, every brand is different, and we need to treat them differently, but every brand needs the same things. We know what they are, and we want to be able to offer our clients everything they need to scale and explode”, says the marketing expert Trevor Crump.

In 5 years, Trevor and The Lab team envision themselves building a program that takes on the education system. Rather than someone going to college, they will become a part of their agency literally. They will have contracts built-in with specific clients that would allow them to give their students experience in their account.
