Personally, I hate the prejudice of sexuality, boys have some period falling in love with robots. Boys might admire their shimmering body and the strength they have. Kpop sometimes captures those admiring eyes with the robot concepts.
EXO, who have a strong story in every concept, lighten their burden of the story by fighting the robot in games.
A narrator has skipped over their story as having a short novel with each concept, and let us the game structure in POWER MV. They try to fight with their already known superpower, but they have trouble changing their body as cartoon characters. In the middle of the scene stealer, A cat called L (it reminds them of their fandom name, EXO-L) saves them and Baekhyun. They use robots in a light and childish way.
Meanwhile, the case of Ghost 9 is different.
Contrasting the scenery of the dark city, they look like the last hero to save the world. They access a danger zone, and hack some system to escape the other boys in a cage.
As a rookie of 2020, they try to surprise the Kpop scene with their desperation. The 9 boys seem not to have a “glass mental” (a weak mental in Korean slang) in the MV. Because the synchronized choreography they perform can’t measure the amount of practice they’ve done. In the last scene, they wake a grand robot (might be) to save the world. It seems like their grand dream evokes like this.
How do you think about the two different ways to use robot in Kpop? Please let me know if you have another thinking of this concept!
