Struggle, perseverance, and art are the three words Young Dom would use to describe his music, and if you’ve ever streamed his music, you’d know exactly what he’s talking about. Those words in his song come deep from his heart and express his real-life experiences. This mentally tough young artist has been through the trenches and back to get him where he is today as he makes moves in the hip hop industry.
Young Dom was born and raised in Long Island, New York, and often would feel like the group’s black sheep no matter the situation. He felt like others around him were not looking to elevate to a higher level, and he was continually being brought down from their hate. Instead of letting the hate get to him, he went to ghost mode and focused and focused on his music full time. He credits a lot of his success to NuttinButDaBest for teaching him how to find himself along this journey.
It’s hard to admit, but at times he would get deep in his head and eat away at his confidence, but looking back, he can’t believe he ever got down on himself. If he wouldn’t have pushed past thou]se hard times, he would’ve never gotten the chance to drop his latest album, “Domination,” open for Nipsey Hussle or any other of the handful of opportunities that have popped up along the way.
The moral of the story is that to make it in this industry; you’re going to be able to face the heat and drown it out with your own success. His haters are eating their words to this day and will be until the end of time once Young Dom cements his name as one of the greatest to ever do it.
