Claire Revell on How Technology Is Paving the Way to a Brighter Future

The world is changing, one innovation at a time. Technology is rebooting the face of society, inspiring young minds to be pioneers and agents of change by helping them write new stories for themselves. One such story is that of Claire Revell, software developer, philanthropist, and a leader in STEM.

Fascinated by the world of technology and business, Claire Revell educated herself through online mediums and books even when she had repeatedly been told that she should not pursue a career in tech. Steadily climbing the rungs of the ladder with determination, grit, and passion, she defied all odds and turned her dreams into reality. Today, Claire is the director and CEO of global B2B learning technology provider Intellek (formerly TutorPro), and co-founder of EdTech company SIDIS Academy. Both companies focus on supporting learning and development professionals in various industries. SIDIS helps young minds grow and ensures the seamless transition from education to employment, after one of the biggest shake-ups that post-16 education has ever witnessed in the UK.

Claire’s story is just one of the many heart-warming tales that technology has brewed. With steady advancements made every day, technology is becoming more accessible. People are being exposed to new schools of thought, ideas, and cultures. Education has become more widespread, benefiting all strata of society. Outmoded ideas are being discarded, and replaced by newer, global ways. Claire shared “We know that an estimated $37 billion is spent each year on supporting unproductive employees. I’ve seen firsthand with the businesses Intellek works with that when our clients use the right technology, they increase new hire retention by up to 50%, empower their employees to close knowledge gaps without it being an interruption, and increase user engagement by up to 264%!”

Technology has rendered a voice to the unheard, completely changing the established dynamic. It is making life easier and better. With science taking responsibility for day-to-day tasks, technology is freeing the human mind to pursue creative and innovative pursuits. By giving power to the people, technology is changing the very fabric of society.

For Claire Revell, a career in tech was a dream that took a lot of struggle and time to manifest. But because of the contribution of people like her, the newer generations have it easier, and they can go a step further. As the new dawn rises over a happier day, it is clearer than ever that as technology continues to change the world, it is also paving the way for a brighter future.
