“There’s something about what music does to me. Trying to put it into words wouldn’t do it justice.” Craig Moreau has had a spiritual connection to music since birth. “It’s funny, my mother jokes about me coming out of the womb singing,” he reflects. The New Hampshire-based country artist has been hard at work throughout 2020, and he is looking to spread positivity and share his stories with anyone who is willing to listen.
Moreau’s family relocated from Massachusetts to Pelham, New Hampshire, when he was just a child. It was here that he would spend the rest of his youth and teen years. Upon his high school graduation, Moreau’s life went in an unexpected direction. Growing up in a broken family, Craig began turning to drugs and alcohol to deal with his problems which consequently sent him down a ten-year rabbit hole of addiction and prison time. As broken as his life was, Moreau emerged triumphant from his battles. Additionally, Moreau found his connection with music once again, and he is now using it to share his stories with others. “I don’t find anything hard to write about because writing is the release of emotions. It is a creative process of taking experiences and forming them into something everyone can relate to,” Moreau states.
With his promise as a songwriter, Moreau is deep into work on his third album. It will consist fully of his own original songs. With a busy schedule ahead for the rest of the year, Moreau is doing his best to balance his family life, musical career, and business ventures. These exciting ventures include his clothing line, CM Apparel and More. “I make it a point to make sure I am balanced spiritually first. Without that, everything around me gets out of whack,” he says. Keeping his mind thinking about the future has kept the motivation high for the rising country artist. “You just need to remember why you started and focus on the end goal.”
