Steven McCoy is a widely popular for his show on iTunes titled “Sessions with Steven” where he conducts one on one interviews with celebrities and public figures. His articles and coverage of big entertainment events are read by millions of people. However Steven is not a born rich and all he achieved was through his hard work and dedication. He had a humble childhood like many common folks like us and he suffers with retinitis Pigmentosa, which can cause blindness (Steven McCoy is legally blind) and it got even worse for him as it further complicated into Usher syndrome, which cause hearing problems. Steven has to use hearing aid to follow normal routine. He routinely faced discrimination and racism in his life. While this kind of difficulties can send any person down in the abyss of disappointment and failure, Steven is a born fighter as he never let anything down. He continue to fight, he overcame any challenge life threw at him. He completed his education and started his career with Walt Disney Company as an intern in Orlando.
Steven was then become regular for Disney Theatrical productions. In his Disney days he was anointed as “Angel” for Disney’s charity program called “VoluntEARS”. For his services, Steven was recognized by the Walt Disney Company and was inducted into Disney’s Alumni Association. Steven then became a Script Writer for BET Network’s “106th and Park” and founded his company Spoken Entertainment LLC, known for creative online content featuring interviews with high profiled figures and coverage of red carpets and virtual online events. His upcoming book will feature the entire story of his life and it will be inspirational for those who are also facing issues in their own life.
The life story of Steven McCoy is a living example of what a strong-willed human can achieve in life. We will always face some difficulties but to succeed, we have to treat them as just part of life and move forward with the expectation of “This too shall pass”.
