When fate closes one door, it opens another. Liv Cooke started playing football at a young age with her older brothers. She was on track to playing professionally having shined through one of the most renowned centres of excellences – Blackburn Rovers. However, the door to Cooke’s dreams of becoming a footballer was closed by recurring back injuries.
Luckily, she turned the negative into a positive and diverted her attention to Freestyle Football. At the age of 17 Liv decided to pursue her new found dream of becoming a professional freestyler.
At the age of 18, she qualified for Super Ball open football freestyle championships in Prague. There she became the youngest in history to win the title of world football freestyle champion. She then went on to break and hold five world records as well as receiving the Parliamentary Rising Star award.
Cooke is best known for her success in the world of Freestyle Football, but more recently she has been causing a stir within another world.
She has an ambitious entrepreneurial project under her belt – Real Estate.
In 2019, Cooke founded Liv Cooke Properties Ltd. She saw the opportunities and potential in the field, and with her real-estate company, she focuses on residential real estate developments and investments. Cooke is targeting the riskier side of the field with large commercial developments, unlike her peers who are taking the traditional route of buy to lets.
Attention has been drawn, and eyes are fixated on the 22-year-old budding investor as she partnered up with property guru Samuel Leeds, who’s current net worth through real estate investing exceeds 16 million GBP. Despite being new to the game Liv seems to already have a successful portfolio and fellow investors trusting her to source and manager their developments.
The journey seems to just be getting started for the British sportswoman but what an inspiration it seems to be already.
