Financial freedom is one of the most coveted elements of a good life in today’s world. While there are many aspects that need to be taken into consideration, having a particular set of qualities is what it ultimately comes down to, with confidence being absolutely essential. Cody Vaujin, one of the greatest minds in sports handicapping, credits his ability to achieve financial freedom and make $4 million by age 22 to his unparalleled level of confidence.
“It’s absolutely essential to believe in yourself, no matter which industry you’re in. When I won the sports handicapping contest that turned out to be pivotal for me, I didn’t know how much this would skyrocket me into the industry. In 2016, I was a part of the sports handicapping competition. I was up against 100 of the best people in the industry. But I didn’t let that affect my confidence. I went in believing in myself, and I won,” Vaujin recalls.
The success at the competition propelled him to leave college and move to Las Vegas, where in the span of six months, he turned a mere $5,000 into those $4 million. Cody then created Codycoverspreads, an outlet for him to share knowledge, inspiration, and expert tips with the ever-growing base of followers he’s amassing. “They are now calling me the G.O.A.T.—greatest of all time—and I constantly have people asking for my advice. I’m thrilled that I can help. But you know what? I don’t stop at just giving handicapping advice and strategy. I always hammer into people’s minds that they need to be confident in anything they do,” explains Vaujin.
He has also been fortunate enough to enjoy support from his parents growing up. “I used to sell candy bars in school. I guess I always had that entrepreneurial spirit, and my mom and dad always stood by me and never discouraged me. This is where my confidence comes from, when I think about it,” he reminisces.
Moving forward, Cody has big plans for Codycoverspreads. He wants to help even more people get on the path to financial freedom and independence. While the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the industry, Vaujin has found creative ways to improve his situation. “When the pandemic happened, sports got canceled right away due to the restrictions. So then I thought, instead of letting this ruin my business and my confidence, I’ll take it as an opportunity to think outside the box and turn the misfortune into something better. I became obsessed with Korean baseball! I dove right into the sport and studied a ton. I was able to generate a profit, and my clients were as well by handicapping with international sports and using my strategies to get the best picks,” he explains. They are strategies he’s eager to share with others.
Vaujin has no plans to retire any time soon. He wants to scale his business and build a memorable legacy. For more on Cody Vaujin, follow his social media.
