Global sustainability is a very important factor that brands must consider when producing. In the past, only companies in the manufacturing sector were expected to adopt sustainable practices. Nowadays, the environmental impact is everyone’s concern.
E.Marinella has started diversifying its brand into creative innovations that welcome the ideas of sustainability. As a brand known for making one of the best and unique ties from the finest Neapolitan fabrics that blend with corporate fashion, its reputation has grown among celebrities and important figures in society.
Currently, Alessandro Marinella is using fundamental and innovative combinations to usher in the sustainability culture. This has led to the creation of E.Marinella’s “Sustainable Sunglasses”. There is no better way to blend tailoring and sustainability than this.
Fashion Impacts on the Environment
The environment plays an important role in our daily lives and we must protect it at all costs. The main objective behind E.Marinella’s “Sustainable Sunglasses” is not far-fetched. According to Alessandro Marinella,
“We are in a historical moment where sustainability must be the key to understanding any collection. All brands, both fashion and non-fashion, should consider more about the environmental impact of their products during production. I believe it is past time for us to roll up our sleeves and figure out how we can become more and more sustainable, so benefiting our world”.
Unfortunately, a lot of brands tend to create their products without fully considering their impact on the environment. The details of E.Marinella’s “Sustainable Sunglasses” reveals that the materials are recyclable and biodegradable.
“We have combined craftsmanship, quality and made in Italy that distinguishes us with sustainability to create 4 handmade unisex sunglasses in bio-acetate, a biodegradable and 100% recyclable material. We were able to perfectly match the blue identifying our Maison to the chosen models: Donegal and Lapel have a gradient navy-blue frame combined with grey lenses; Oxford and Pleat are E. Marinella navy-blue, the former paired with grey lenses and the latter with a vintage blue clip,” Alessandro reveals.
In addition, each eyewear has an engraving inside that indicates the progressive number of creations, thus confirming its uniqueness. The logos of the two brands are engraved on the external ends of the temples and the microfibers have been created by printing an iconic pattern of the E. Marinella ties.
Future Innovative Plans
E.Marinella is growing to become a clothing brand, not just makers of great neckties. Alessandro Marinella has streamlined E.Marinella’s innovation plans into three segments, namely Innovation in terms of Offer, Organization, and Communication. This will give E.Marinella a rebrand, ushered in by the new generation of the Marinella family.
“Innovation in terms of the offer, we are trying not to connect E. Marinella only to neckties, but to a total look. Therefore, we are transforming E.Marinella into a clothing brand. As for innovation in terms of organization, the company is still managed in a family manner and the internal organization needs to be optimized while maintaining our roots. Innovation in terms of communication, especially the digital means. We know that it is not easy to communicate craftsmanship digitally, but social networks are a tool that can give you great visibility and reach everyone, if properly utilized,” Alessandro says.
