Ever thought about dropping out of high school? Well, that was a reality for now social media star Maitland Hanley. In Mr Hanley’s final years of school he dropped out all together to work full time.
Mr Hanley said in a recent interview “I’d been working 5-6 days a week labouring while still making content for years before I was able to go full time social media so not having to work another job made life easier. However now that I have employees to look after and social media is going through tough times the pressure is really on. I would say I’m more stressed out now than I ever was working 12 hour days 6 days a week labouring”
Prior to Maitland’s social media success, he worked a collective of 7 different jobs while trying to create social media content in his spare time. Mr Hanley also used his time not working to travel and explore a handful of different countries. Only in 2019 was Maitland was finally able to live out his dream of being a Social media Content Creator full time.
Over the last few years, Maitland has made the effort to frequently travel with his family, friends and girlfriend. He has visited over 10 different countries and plans to explore other countries in the not too distant future. During Maitland’s time working and travelling he found a passion for making content.
Maitland proves that the stereotype of dropping out of school is false and if you have a dream you can achieve it, no matter your circumstances.
