“I arrived [in London] at the beginning of the week and I was even more excited for this event, the British are excited and the atmosphere is one of national celebration. I felt very honored to be invited. An event that carries so much symbolism and that has already brought together important names, such as the late Princess Diana. This is the first time and I hope to come back more often,” she described.
With a strict dress code that includes tailcoats and top hats for men, and long or midi dresses with hats for women, Mariani chose a white midi dress from the British brand Claire Mischevani, a British luxury fashion designer. She dresses the Royal family and other dignitaries around the World.
The Honor dress, Grace Kelly inspired, made in a beautiful Italian crepe, completed with a cinched belt. She used Princess Kate Middleton’s looks as a reference for the tribute. The hat chosen was by designer Jane Taylor. The striking two tone piece is made of the finest sinamay. This unique piece is finished with a stylish knot for an elegant look.
As well as attracting the best racehorses in the world, Royal Ascot is known for its refinement and elegance. From the Royal Procession to the men in top hats parading through the VIP areas, the event is the stage for magnificent millinery creations.
The first horse race took place in August 1711, created by Queen Anne, who united England and Scotland into a single sovereign state, the Kingdom of Great Britain. Located in Ascot, in the county of Berkshire, the Ascot Race is the most famous racetrack in England and the setting for several films, such as “My Fair Lady” and “007”.
