Jax Fanucci crawled back to life after surviving a life-threatening disease. For a 28-year-old woman who overcame anorexia and renal failure, she remained optimistic about her situation by not allowing her pains and difficulties to get the best of her.
Earlier in her life, she relocated with her family from South Africa, where she was born to Mauritius, where she spent most of her childhood with her grandparents, cousins, and friends. After ten years, she moved again with her brother, mother, and father to Dubai. Her parents would later divorce.
Jax was separated from her mother but that still didn’t stop her from giving up. Matters became worse when her uncle, who was only five years older than she was, her aunt and elder uncle passed away.
Jax later found solace in exercise. The thought of being alone in the world without her loved ones overwhelmed her. With little to no food to eat, she would run for 3 hours every day until she was exhausted. This made her forget her pains and the feeling of hunger.
She enrolled in her degree program at a university in Los Angeles. She later moved to Malaga in Spain, where she completed her program. By the time she was 26, Jax had grown malnourished due to the stress and starvation. Her memories of her past life were soon fading away.
The day she had collapsed in her apartment in Spain, she was doing some cleaning, and she felt a sharp pain in her knee. Jax struggled her way to the pharmacy, where she acquired a wheelchair. After the traumatic incident, she found herself back in Dubai, where her mother was staying. Her mother looked after her, and she was a motivation for her to rise again.
Recovering was more difficult than it seemed when she had to unlearn and relearn things she had grown to forget. After her strong will to heal, she started realizing how much she had missed out on life for the past 15 years.
Jax began to make her recovery documentation on YouTube to reach others who are suffering in silence with no one by their side to care for them.
She started to appreciate life and decided she wanted to touch lives as well. Jax became confident in herself. She took the risk of creating something new and ventured into business. It was challenging initially, but she soon overcame her obstacles with her self-confidence and support from her people. Her mother was a great motivation for her recovery.
Jax Fanucci is an excellent icon whose story teaches perseverance and hard work. A failure, relapse, or setback didn’t stop her but instead pushed her forward.
