It takes a flash of sheer brilliance to transform creative ideas into reality, and not every professional or entrepreneur can boast of possessing this distinctive quality. One needs to be able to think out of the box and be diligent enough in the application of these creative ideas before something special can be made out of a brand.
Often, Chris Sarchet Bell has shown to be way ahead of the pack when it comes to manifesting creative ideas. What he has been able to do with his brand, Shutdown Events, is a good example of what smart working plans look like. In 2014, he created a diverse way of hosting nightlife events for a particular set of clients, and ever since, his brand has been recognized as a top one locally and internationally.
Shutdown Events is not a regular type of nightlife event. It was created to target the younger market and dedicated to educating young ones on the need to socialize and have fun without necessarily getting intoxicated.
What sets Shutdown Events apart?
Since its inception, Shutdown Events has distinguished itself from other brands and event promoters by hosting its events in unique ways. Many shutdown events have been hosted across different cities in collaboration with top people in the entertainment industry. Chris Sarchet Bell has put together a team that used to bring in top music artists, stars from reality TV shows, paint & foam parties, Co2 & confetti parties and so on. Now it’s all about the experience and putting on a huge show that they can’t experience anywhere else in the country and combining that with mega production and acts.
“I pride myself on having my ear to the ground with all our reps and influencers. This is how we keep ahead of the trends and always stay five steps ahead to allow a few mistakes along the way,” Chris says.
Chris Sarchet Bell has made sure that he evolved above the stereotypes of event management when he created Shutdown Events. He focused on filling the gap in the market with his brand and was not distracted by mere insults and negativity that sought to diminish his work.
When asked how he handled this situation in the past, he had this to say:
“I was called every name under the sun that you can imagine for being a promoter, even more so because I was running U18 events. I knew I saw a gap in the market and I completely ignored the unnecessary drama and carried on with my ambitions. Now the same people who were diminishing me now call to praise me. Isn’t it funny how the world works”?
By doing so, Chris Sarchet Bell will continue to distinguish his brand from other competitions that look to come into the nightlife event industry. He believes that his brand and events are the best yet, and he does not hesitate to show this through the smooth running of Shutdown Events.
“I know there will be others, but nobody is doing it like we are. We are the best at what we do and the first to do it to this level of expertise. So right now, I don’t feel that we have competition. However, we have worked very hard to get to the point where we don’t, and it doesn’t mean that we won’t in the future,” Chris says.
