What are some of the biggest sacrifices you’ve made to get to where you are today?
The toughest thing about running a business is that you have to be all-in, and that means missing out on other things. I had to give up time with my family and friends. During my first year of marriage, I was traveling a lot for ReminderMedia. For almost eight months, I’d leave at 1AM on Monday, drive up to Pennsylvania for the week and get back to Virginia late on Friday. I remember her crying every Monday morning about me leaving. It was a tough eight months until we could finally make the move up to Pennsylvania.
What’s your advice for others hoping to do what you’ve done?
Set a vision and commit to it. It has to be big enough to keep you working at 11PM and to overcome criticism from those around you. You also need high standards of discipline to bring your vision to life. Every single day, you need to maintain the same high standards.
What exciting projects are on the horizon for you?
I’m excited to keep growing our podcast, Stay Paid Podcast. Every week, we get the privilege of interviewing the top producers, entrepreneurs, and business owners, and get to learn from them how they’ve built their business and how they’ve obtained the free life we’re striving to create for others.
