There’s no reason why education has to be boring for our children. Thanks to YouTube, many parents these days are turning towards children’s videos for their lessons, learning and entertainment. Cartoon characters and songs used in the videos attract the children and tend to enhance their learning process. Totoykids is one such digital children’s brand, born on YouTube that won over 29 million subscribers worldwide. It aims to preserve and enrich childhood.
Created in 2014 in New York, by a psychologist Isa Vaal and an entrepreneur Andre Vaz, Totoykids is a native digital brand that promotes fun, creative and original experiences for children and families, in an appropriate and responsible way. The content on their channel is completely safe for children and supported by a team of renowned neurosurgeons, psychologists and specialists in Pedagogy. Focused on better learning and an equal future Totoykids is launching its newest project “Música Para Todos” with the support of Unicef Brasil and MPT during Children’s week.
“Música Para Todos” or “Music for All” is a partnership between Unicef , Ministério Público do Trabalho and TotoyKids that brings together famous artists for re-recording of the channel’s hits for children with visual and hearing impairments. The model of the action has been specifically designed so as to benefit all children with audio description, subtitles and even Brazilian sign languages. Translated and interpreted by known Brazilian activist Lara Gomes the classics of the channel like “Somos Todos Iguais”, “Vírus Aqui Não” and “Sorrir Te Faz Feliz”, would gain a new version and a little perspective for a more egalitarian cause. Some more renowned faces like MC Soffia, Rodrigo Faro, Maria Viel Faro, Daniel, Wanessa , Felipe Mafra, Paty, Elba Ramalho, Isa Vaal, André Vaz and Daniela Mercury are granting their images, gestures and enthusiasm to support the cause of an unequal future providing opportunities to all children.
The project “Música Para Todos” is a combination of education and recreation in an accessible way emphasising on the fact that every child deserves equally the best and that the best for them is playing and learning.
The present pandemic situation has led to a great deal of isolation for children from social activities, somehow causing difficulties for them to show as much interest towards learning. Totoykids uses an innovative and playful yet informative approach where the children could loosen up their imagination and education could be lightweight and fun, thus not such a burden anymore. In a conversation with the media, they shared that Totoykids and Unicef will expand the Music for all to english and spanish very soon, to give all the children the opportunity to have an inclusive content.
