Rap music and Hip-Hop culture have continued to rule as America’s most popular music genres and are taking over the world by building bridges between various cultures. X Li, a Chinese rapper and an alternative hip-hop artist who hails from China has been creating immense buzz by uniquely integrating Asian culture to the mix. Touted as the only independent Hip-Hop artist in North America who was born in China has successfully entered the hip-hop and rap world.
Currently based in Toronto, X Li grew up on rock music, listening to rap artists like Linkin Park that set the foundation for his love of trap. At the age of 14, X Li moved to Canada which further exposed him to artists like Jay Z, Nas, Kanye West, 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa and ever since then, the young artist has set on a journey to create a place for himself in the mainstream rap and hip-hop industry.
With the start of the year 2020, X Li treated the fans with Luxury Pain followed by Wangleta’, a track which attracted over 100,000 hits in just the first week of its release. After the success of the last two tracks, X Li is all set to release his next titled Tiger later this year.
Over the years, X Li has battled all odds and came forward as one of the prominent and the only independent Hip-Hop artist in North America. From overcoming the language barrier to using music as a means of processing feelings of pain and depression, X Li stood out tall and paved his way to success at the rapid speed.
Hailing from an extremely well to do family was never a privilege for X Li. The young artist has struggled his way without receiving any support from anyone and rather used his low days in making music and working on his craft.
X Li is presently enjoying a humongous fan base across quarters so much so that his fans have started citing him as the next big Asian superstar in the music industry.
