“Ambition is the epicenter of perseverance through which accomplishments spell success,” said Byron Pulsifer. To succeed in the business world, one must practice perseverance and ambition. Yasser Siddiqui, the founder, and CEO of Ayta Sports Limited, has repeatedly demonstrated determination in the face of adversity.
Yasser was born in Muscat, Oman, and moved to New Delhi, India, after only a few years. His journey did not stop there. Having lived in Abu Dhabi, UAE, for a short while, he learned an all-rounded education and the language before moving back to finish his education in India. He completed his Undergraduate schooling in India and interned at his mother’s not-for-profit school, Shepherd’s Path International School.
At his mother’s school, Yasser worked for three years and helped manage the scheduling, transport system, and finances. His excellent work ethic got him the recognition he needed for his future and gave him the work experience of a lifetime. However, Yasser always wanted to be his own boss, so he tried his hand at many different businesses to become an entrepreneur. He tried trading, goat farming, making paper out of banana stems, and much more, but he could not succeed.
After all these failures, Yasser could have given up, but a man of his tenacity would never let that happen. Instead, he studied more and got his Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business. In 2016, he graduated with high honors, earning applause from his professors, who could see his passion from afar. His professor from the university shares, “His practical and entrepreneurial nature blended with leadership skills will help him grow in his future role in the financial industry.”
Wanting to be an entrepreneur and stand on his own two feet, he started working on establishing his consulting business. Although he got offers from many investment firms in Chicago, he returned to India to work on his dream of becoming an entrepreneur. Back home, he started his financial consulting firm and ran it successfully. Yasser got much praise for his financial acumen and excellent consulting services in the market.
In 2016, he helped his mother’s school expand and grow without increasing the operational costs. He also started teaching Math at the school and later became a finance director.
As a young lad interested in soccer and athletics, Yasser teamed up with a friend in 2017 to open a football club in New Delhi. It was a semi-professional soccer club that housed an 11v11 natural pitch, a 7v7 natural pitch, and a 5v5 artificial turf. The club was named Delhi Chargers FC and was backed by Adidas. This was a first in India, and Yasser became the pioneer of football training in the country.
Following his divorce, he sold the football club Delhi Chargers FC and resigned from his math teacher position to focus more on expanding the school and its facilities. Yasser frequently traveled to the US for educational seminars, so he decided to settle in North America, specifically Canada. He loved that Canada has a natural and country environment with a lot of space and a vast immigrant community. It wasn’t until 2021 that he finally got his Permanent Residence and went on to live in Canada.
While waiting for his visa, Yasser developed the idea to make wearable devices available for soccer players at a better price. These devices were not like Fitbit or an Apple Watch; athletes weren’t allowed to wear them. Yasser wished to introduce wearable devices to improve athletic performance. He also started his own socks business, AthocX, where he imported high-quality anti-slip socks and sold them to customers in India. This was a very new and unique initiative that got vast recognition among the Indian business community.
After moving to Canada and finding it very difficult to launch a soccer technology training equipment business, Yasser decided to start from scratch. He got the needed certifications, started his football training club, and became a coach. He established Ayta Sports Limited, which specializes in performance enchantments and special training for football players. Ayta Sports Limited is perfectly placed for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Yasser aims to keep moving forward without giving up and making his dreams come true. Click here to keep up with Yasser and his future endeavors.
