The best way to remain profitable and loved by customers is to listen to what they have to say. Crusty Crust, the iconic Canadian restaurant, is doing just that. They collect and value customer opinions and develop recipes based on those. “We know that most anybody loves pizza. And our customers have fantastic suggestions, so we try to come up with new flavors based on their requests. We take into consideration what they want when we come up with new sauces, toppings, and sides,” a member of the team shares. It’s no surprise that Crusty Crust takes its people into consideration, given that the business is owned and run by TripleOne, the decentralized business where people from all over the globe collaborate and make joint decisions.
Currently, Crusty Crust offers an eclectic menu of flavors. From the all-time favorites such as cheese, pepperoni, and vegetarian pizzas, to the signature Italian, Submarine, Ambrosia, Monterey, and Western, there’s always something to look forward to. The menu doesn’t stop there, though; Crusty Crust offers all the favorite sides anybody could ever ask for, including nachos, poutine, chicken wings, onion rings, and garlic bread.
Not too long ago, the restaurant even launched the famous pizza dessert, which is made of fresh dough topped with strawberries and Nutella. “We make our dough fresh every time. In fact, this is the approach we take with anything at Crusty Crust. All the vegetables for our salads are chopped the same day for maximum flavor and freshness. We prepare the dough on the spot, so it never comes out of a frozen packet,” the team member shares.
The Crusty Crust restaurant sees clients from all walks of life. There are couples having date nights, families with kids, busy entrepreneurs, students, and more. The space is bright and welcoming to anybody, and the leadership has made sure that delivery is impeccable, as well, so no pizza ever arrives cold.
Crusty Crust is never afraid to challenge the status quo and come up with a brand new flavor. “We need to evolve, just like our customers’ taste buds do. We try to create new pallets and adapt to the trends. For example, a lot of people want to be healthier, so we’ve added our pizza salads to the menu. This way, they can still have their pizza fix, but they are getting their vegetable portion for the day, too,” the Crusty Crust team member says. There are currently three varieties of pizza salads offered: Mediterranean, Asian, and Caesar.
Crusty Crust strives to be a pioneer in the field and continue evolving. “If you are a restaurant and you aren’t willing to introduce new recipes and ingredients, then you won’t be all that successful,” the team member explains. They offer this same flexibility to their customers through the “build your own pizza” option on the menu, where people can select their favorite ingredients and come up with unique combinations. Whatever Crusty Crust is working on, the customers take center stage. This principle is propelling the brand forward and ensuring its successful growth and expansion.
