Holiday Swap: The Home Exchange App Changing The Future of Travel

Having a presence in as many as 185 countries is a big flex for any company, and Holiday Swap is riding on that wave to deliver its core missions and visions. The company is well on its way to make traveling and accommodation on foreign trips the least of everyone’s worries. By creating a community of home sharers, Holiday Swap is the latest innovative solution for travel enthusiasts.

Holiday Swap is an innovative solution that offers a highly affordable accommodation option for travelers. The company breathes life into the idea of sharing in the travel and tourism industry. It operates as a home exchange network where homeowners and tourists connect, book, swap and host one another at the cost of a tiny fraction of standard accommodation expenses. “Think about traveling and paying just for flights. Holiday Swap makes that possible and frees up users’ money so you can have a fuller experience on their trip. We set out to ease the accommodation costs for users so they can spend more on visiting their dream destinations and other things on their bucket lists,” Jonathan Hanson said. “Our subscription plans allow travelers to save even more and benefit from unlimited swaps, instantly messaging unmatched users and bringing one guest for free.”

Founded by James Asquith, a banking professional who currently holds the Guinness World Record for being the youngest person ever to visit all 196 countries globally, Holiday Swap is trailblazing in the tourism industry. The company has received honors like the LUX Life Magazine’s Best Home Sharing Platform and was named in Forbes’ Top Twenty Companies for Social Good.

In September, the app released a major update that brought with it some new features.  The features include new and improved search rankings and results, intuitive and interactive maps, the ability to create multiple spaces linked to a user profile, a new chat interface and a massive system overhaul. To celebrate the update, it also launched a $10,000 giveaway on their Instagram page.

Holiday Swap’s operations involve two groups of people – the travelers and the hosts. Depending on a user’s need, they can either be a host or a traveler at any given time. The platform fosters social connections that transcend borders, race and culture as it brings people together to fulfill one another’s needs. The proof of all these lies in the over 500,000 users already registered on the app across continents globally. The platform sets itself apart as one of the most affordable travel accommodation providers globally because of the absence of subleasing or profits for the users involved. It is strictly an exchange platform where hosts and travelers exchange homes, so they both save money for other things.

Holiday Swap’s entrance into the travel industry is a breath of fresh air and very much needed in a world still recovering from the ravaging effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The travel industry has been impacted for over a year, and getting incentivized accommodation options is a welcome development. Holiday Swap looks to get more travel agencies, destination restaurants, tourist spots and other players in the travel industry to plug into its core services.

The company also advocates and strictly adheres to COVID-19 protection guidelines to ensure safe travels. It features a travel cancelation plan and COVID-19 protection plan in every home swap between users. The  Holiday Swap app also has features to deliver an outstanding user experience, such as a chat interface, interactive maps, search and ranking, an intelligent matching system, and a host of other features.
