Entrepreneur Naman Tyagi who set his foot in the startup world in 2016 with ‘Weddopedia’ has been setting an example for all the entrepreneurs out there. It is an ultimate wedding portal for all the couples who want to plan their wedding and make it a memorable event. The company takes care of the entire wedding, management, finding a suitable vendor and arranging other comforts and facilities for the clients according to their budget.
Besides work, he is very close to social causes and has always extended his support to societal issues. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Tyagi went his way out by helping many people financially and providing them with essential commodities. For him, the country is above everything and he makes sure to contribute in any capacity to the people who are in need. The young entrepreneur hails from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh and is a social media expert who has led various social media campaigns. One of the most significant campaigns done by him was during the epidemic where he informed people about the necessary measures to stay away from coronavirus.
Naman Tyagi’s extraordinary works have been highlighted by many and he has been honoured with the Karamveer Chakra Award by the Global Fellowship Award instituted by the United Nations and International Confederation of NGO (iCONGO) at the ReX ConcLIVE at IIT Delhi. Moreover, ‘Weddopedia’ was also selected as one of the top startups by FIED at IIM Kashipur. The Karamveer Chakra Award is a sign of respect and a tribute to the former president of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. “As an entrepreneur, I am not just restricted to scale my business but to also help people who are in dire need. More than building a successful company, I believe to build a strong bonding amongst the countrymen”, said Naman Tyagi while speaking about his social works.
With having started on a small scale, Mr Tyagi’s startup is gradually growing its presence all over India. Founded on Naman’s birthday, the company will complete 4 years on December 3, 2020. ‘Weddopedia’ was initially launched as a user-friendly website which later grew and became a wedding planning company giving a variety of options to the clients including their budget and venue. Mr Naman enjoys a great fan following on social media and through his popularity, even ‘Weddopedia’ is reaching new heights. 2019 turned out to be the most remarkable year for him as he was nominated and awarded more than 10 national and state awards and also became a world record holder for enlisting his social media pages.
