With a thirst for knowledge and a passion for helping people realize their talents, Dr. McCashland embarked on an academic journey that would enable her to build deep subject matter expertise in the research methods and analytics that support her talent mission. Starting at the University of Nebraska, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with an emphasis in psychology and human behavior. Her curiosity drove her to pursue a Master’s in Qualitative and Quantitative Research, expanding her analytical toolkit to decipher complex data.
Soon after, she completed a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership where she graduated at the top of her class from the University of Southern California. Through this program, she honed her ability to lead and inspire, learning how successful leaders apply predictive analytics to bring out the best in people and operationalize sustainable performance.
The tragic suicide of her brother when Courtney was young fueled her desire and urgency to help people understand and apply their talents. She initiated a program during her undergraduate studies to help university students uncover their purpose and passion, which earned the Presidential National Point of Light Award. She has always been fascinated by the patterns of behavior that explain the success of extraordinary leaders and professionals.
After decades of her career studying what is different about the best, she has spent the last seven years narrowing her focus for a deeper look in the sales industry. With rapidly changing buyer demands and an increasingly complex sales cycle, what it takes to sell and lead a sales organization has changed.
